(iv) Odors-heavy industrial and maritime commerce activities
conducted on lands in the vicinity of the Property may occasionally
cause emanation of dust and chemical odors onto and within the
Project, the effects of which are unmitigatable, even when said
industrial activities meet all regulatory requirements pertaining to
such emissions. Said industrial activities meet all current operating
permits or requirements pertaining to such emissions.

(e) Noise. Noises associated with the heavy industrial and maritime
commerce-related properties in the vicinity of the Property may
impact the future occupants and tenants of the Project. Said
impacts shall be mitigated by incorporating noise reduction features
into the construction of buildings for the Project and/or orienting
buildings away from noise sources as specified in the FEIR (FEIR,
p. 3.5-5).

(f) Geoloq¥. (i) Geotechnical. The Project does not have a potential
to induce serious erosion or landsliding. A potential for differential
settlement exists because the Project will be constructed on Bay
Mud. Differential settlement shall be mitigated through properly
engineered fill and the use of piles and/or properly designed
foundations. Said mitigation shall be implemented and monitored
through design reviews, conditions attached to permits or other
entitlements, and periodic inspections during construction.

DES:rg 1 7
Reso-25a
G:~shared~Redwood~Council

04/01/96R
