as an alternative site and is unable to implement the alternative. <br /> Further, this Council finds that no alternative site of comparable <br /> size or condition is available in the City of Redwood City which <br /> would provide the benefits associated with the proposed Project as <br /> described in paragraph 5. Further, this Council finds this <br /> alternative undesirable because it would deprive the City of said <br /> benefits. <br /> <br /> For the foregoing reasons, this Council hereby finds that none of <br /> the alternatives described and discussed in the FEIR is desirable or <br /> feasible as an altemative to the proposed Project and hereby <br /> rejects each said alternative; provided, that nothing herein <br /> contained shall be deemed, impliedly or expressly, to prevent the <br /> incorporation of certain desirable features of one or more of said <br /> altematives (including, without limitation, and by way of example, <br /> enchanced wetland mitigation) in the proposed Project in <br /> connection with future Project approvals. <br /> <br /> 5. This Council hereby finds and declares, consistent with the findings in <br />paragraphs 2 and 3, that the following environmental impacts cannot be avoided <br />if the Project is implemented: (i) the southbound off-ramp merge at the <br />Woodside Road/US 101 Interchange will be reduced to a traffic level of service <br />("LOS") F, as a result of existing, Project and cumulative traffic counts, <br />representing a reduction from LOS D resulting from existing and cumulative <br />counts; (ii) the impact upon Regional Air Quality from the emission of total <br /> <br />DES:rg 30 <br />Reso-25a <br />G:~shared\Redwood',Council <br />03/04/96 <br />04/01/96R <br /> <br /> <br />
