organic gasses (including CO and NOx) will exceed the best available control <br />technology ("BACT") threshold level of 150 pounds per day established by the <br />BAAQMD; (iii) odor emissions from adjacent industrial activities will impact <br />future tenants of the Project (see, FEIR, § 5.1). <br /> <br /> Pursuant to the provisions of Public Resources Code Section 21081, this <br />Council hereby finds that the following economic, legal, social, technological, or <br />other benefits of the Project outweigh the foregoing significant effects on the <br />environment for which mitigation measures or alternatives identified in the FEIR <br />are infeasible: <br /> <br /> (a) The Project will provide necessary economic development and related <br />employment opportunities in response to the increasing demand for innovation <br />and product development in the high technology fields. Said economic benefits <br />are local, regional, and international. The Project is anticipated to generate in <br />excess of 4,000 jobs which, in turn, will enhance the economic opportunities for <br />local businesses as well as attract new businesses to the community. The <br />private economic stimulus from the Project will also provide revenues for <br />necessary public services and facilities provided by governmental agencies <br />within the jurisdictions of which the Property is (or will be) located. <br /> <br /> The economic benefits of the Project include expansion of usable <br />propedies for the Port of Redwood City as a condition of the Wetlands Mitigation <br />Plan approved hereinabove.
