<br />6.2A <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND <br />SALARY RANGES FOR DEPARMENT PART-TIME <br />POSITIONS OF BUILDING ATTENDANT I, "AND Ill, FOOD <br />SERVICE WORKER I, II, AND III, LIBRARY PAGE, SENIOR <br />LIBRARY PAGE, PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST, PROJECT <br />READ ASSISTANT AND SENIOR CONSTRUCTION <br />TECHNICIAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the current Memorandum of Understanding between the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City and SEIU provides that part-time positions that work on a 12 month on- <br /> <br />going basis shall be placed in the SEIU unit and receive pro-rated City contributions to <br /> <br />employee benefit programs and leave accruals offered to SEIU members; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said pro-rated amounts will be based on the percentage of a full- <br /> <br />time schedule the part-time position works; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City management and SEIU have been in discussions with respect <br /> <br />to a total of 45 part-time employees representing 29.46 full-time equivalent position <br /> <br />being moved from the City's temporary or casual workforce into the regular workforce <br /> <br />represented by SEIU; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said 45 part-time positions have been reviewed by the Human <br /> <br />Resources Department as being appropriate for movement into the regular workforce; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the job specifications and salary ranges, which are attached hereto <br /> <br />as Exhibit "A" and "B", for the positions of Building Attendant I, II and III, Food Service <br /> <br />Worker I, II and III, Library Page, Senior Library Page, Parking Enforcement Officer, <br /> <br />Community Development Specialist, Project Read Assistant and Senior Construction <br /> <br />Atty/Reso/Reso.1781 <br />010808 <br />
