<br />7A <br />Page 18 <br /> <br />Attachment 3 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLES XIV OF CHAPTER 18 OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO <br />THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS <br />FOR THE PLANNED EXTENSION AND REPAIR OF UTILITY <br />AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS; ADDING ARTICLE VI OF <br />CHAPTER 38 RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF <br />WATER MAIN UPGRADE STANDARDS <br /> <br />THE COUNCil OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Sections 18.235 and 18.236 of Article XIV of Chapter 18 of the <br />Redwood City Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Sec. 18.235. DEFINITIONS: For the purposes of this Article, the <br />following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed <br />to them by this Section: <br /> <br />COMMERCIAL BUILDING: Any structure that relates to or is connected <br />with a business or trade, including but not limited to, office or industrial <br />uses. <br /> <br />EXISTING BUILDING: The building, where tenant improvements or substantial <br />remodeling will be performed on the date of the application for the building <br />permit. <br /> <br />NEW BUILDING(S): Any construction of a building, or buildings with a total.floor <br />area of one-thousand (1,000) square feet or more. <br /> <br />OWNER: The owner or owners of record of the subject property. <br /> <br />PARKING FACILITIES: A parking lot or parking structure for five (5) or more <br />parking spaces. <br /> <br />PROPERTY OR SUBJECT PROPERTY: The real property which is being <br />approved. <br /> <br />RESIDENTIAL BUILDING: Any structure that IS used for private permanent <br />dwelling purposes.
