6.E. - Page 1 of 35 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />\IAW <br />DATE: November 25, 2019 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Purchase of four new 2020 Ford F350 Super Duty Regular Cab Pick-up Trucks <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement to purchase four new, 2020 <br />Ford F350 Super Duty Regular Cab Pick-up Trucks in the amount of $213,569 from Towne Ford of Redwood <br />City, California. <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />Redwood City's Fleet Replacement Program is designed to provide a structure for evaluating vehicles and <br />equipment in order to replace them at the most economically advantageous point in their life cycle. At <br />pre -described intervals, vehicles and equipment undergo a thorough evaluation including but not limited <br />to, age, mileage, condition, maintenance history, downtime, anticipated future repairs, usage, and vehicle <br />capabilities. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department's Park Maintenance Division has four Ford <br />F250 utility pick-up trucks scheduled to be replaced in the current Fiscal Year (FY). Representatives from <br />the Parks Division and the Public Works Fleet Section have agreed that the four vehicles should be <br />replaced with 2020 Ford F350 Super Duty Regular Cab Pick-up Trucks.
