Staff has identified the new Ford Ranger as the <br />appropriate vehicle for replacement. <br />Though the newly re -engineered Ford Ranger offers better fuel economy and fewer greenhouse gas (GHG) <br />emissions than earlier models, it is still not offered in any alternative fuel capacities. Additionally, no after- <br />market hybid retrofit options currently are available. <br />On September 7, 2019 a Notice Inviting Sealed Bids was published in The San Mateo Daily Journal with a <br />submission deadline of 2:30 p.m. on September 25, 2019. Copies of the bid notice were emailed to six <br />local dealerships with additional copies available at the Public Works office located at 1400 Broadway, <br />Redwood City, CA 94063.
