S.A. - Page 1 of 4 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />A,&/ <br />DATE: December 9, 2019 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />Final Acceptance — 2017-2018 Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />From the City Manager <br />Accept, by motion, the 2017-2018 Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project, authorize the release of bonds <br />and retention according to City procedures. <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Public Safety <br />BACKGROUND <br />On June 11, 2018 the City Council awarded the construction contract for the 2017-2018 Sanitary Sewer <br />Replacement Project to Casey Construction, Inc. of Emerald Hills for their low bid of $4,488,680. <br />The project replaced and furnished approximately 11,601 lineal feet of 6 -inch, 8 -inch, 10 -inch, 12 -inch, <br />15 -inch and 18 -inch vitrified clay pipe (VCP) sewer main with new, same diameter polyvinyl chloride pipe <br />(PVC), 78 sanitary sewer manholes, and 200 sanitary sewer laterals. <br />The project area included Glenwood Avenue, Breeze Place, Canyon Road, Lancaster Way, Harding Avenue, <br />Hillcrest Drive, Highland Avenue, Jefferson Avenue, Dover Road, Alameda De Las Pulgas, Madison Avenue, <br />Upton Street, Roosevelt Avenue, Valota Road and Goodwin Avenue. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore <br />5 <br />
