12/09/2019 <br />grant -funding budget for the total requested project cost of $958,594.00. The total <br />estimated project planning cost with contingency and escalation cost for the 2019 <br />construction year is $1,218,945.50. The Federal share is fixed at $718,945.50; <br />therefore, the City's share was approximately $500,000.00. On December 17, 2018, the <br />City Council adopted Resolution No. 15727 to accept the aforementioned grant funding; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, On November 6, 2019, Staff requested and received an Approval for <br />Additional Funding Letter from FEMA and Cal OES approving an increased grant <br />funding budget request for a total revised project cost of $1,296,022.67. The Federal <br />share is now fixed at 75% of the Project cost, which is $972,017.00; therefore, the City <br />share of 25% of the Project cost is $324,005.67; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the grant increase, authorize the <br />City Manager to execute any required grant agreement and related contract documents, <br />and transfer funding in order to facilitate construction of the Project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City Council hereby accepts the FY19-20 Hazard Mitigation Grant <br />Program Funding Increase (HMGP-4308-228-012R) of $253,071.50 for a total amount <br />of $972,017.00 from FEMA and Cal OES. <br />2. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or designee to <br />execute the Grant Award Agreement and related contract documents, and to provide all <br />necessary documentation. <br />3. The Water Capital Projects Fund revenue budget shall be increased by <br />$253,071.50. <br />4. Fund reserves of $84,357.17 shall be transferred from the Water <br />Enterprise Fund to the Water Capital Projects Fund. <br />5. The Water Capital Projects Fund expenditure budget for the Peninsula 2 <br />Potable Water Tank Seismic Improvement Project shall be increased by $337,428.67. <br />6.
