Adopt a resolution requesting that the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) <br />allocate Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 Pedestrian/Bicycle Project funding for <br />two Redwood City projects: the Citywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan and the Vera Avenue <br />Bicycle Boulevard Project; and <br />2. By motion, authorize the City Manager to execute related grant and project documents, accept <br />funds, and allocate local funding to supplement the project budget for the Citywide Bicycle and <br />Pedestrian Master Plan and the Vera Avenue Bicycle Boulevard Project. <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Transportation <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council has determined that transportation is one of its top three priorities. Through <br />adoption of rwcMoves, the citywide transportation plan, the City has focused on developing <br />and supporting an effective transportation infrastructure: systems and programs that enable <br />safe and efficient travel to, from and within the community.
