6.H. - Page 3 of 11 <br />intersections such as Vera Ave/Hudson St and Vera Ave/Upton St. The project scope includes <br />community outreach during design and construction phases and also an evaluation of the project <br />with the option to make minor adjustments if needed to increase the effectiveness of the project. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Redwood City is being awarded $70,000 for the Citywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan <br />and $245,882.65 for the Vera Avenue Bicycle Boulevard Project. Project applications were <br />received by C/CAG in July 2019 for scoring and ranking by C/CAG's Bicycle and Pedestrian <br />Advisory Committee. C/CAG received two planning applications for a total request of $145,117 <br />and 12 capital project applications for a total request of $4.2M. Both planning applications are <br />being awarded funding. Out of the twelve capital projects, five are being awarded funding. <br />In order to receive the TDA Article 3 funding, the City must adopt a resolution of local support <br />(Attachment A). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The local match for the Citywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan will come from previously <br />allocated budget in the Traffic and Transportation Services program of the Capital Outlay Fund <br />which had a balance of $200,000 as of September 2019. <br />The local match for Vera Avenue Bicycle Boulevard Project will come from previously allocated <br />budget in the General Engineering program of the General Fund which had a balance of <br />$578,179 as of September 2019. <br />Staff is processing a mid -year budget amendment to add the grant revenue of $70,000 and <br />$254,883 in the Transportation Grants Fund and to reflect the expenditure increase of $70,000 <br />and $254,883 for both projects into the current budget in the Transportation Grants Fund. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The actions associated with accepting funding do not constitute a project pursuant to the <br />California Environmental Quality Act guidelines.
