The report shall determine the proposed
project's surface geotechnical conditions and address potential
seismic hazards such as liquefaction and subsidence. The report
shall identify building techniques appropriate to minimize seismic
damage. In addition, the following requirement for the geotechnical
and soils report shall be met

Table

. Analysis presented in the geotechnical report shall confonn with
the California Division of Mines and Geology recommendations
prescnted in the GUidelinesfor Evaluating Seismic Hazards in
California.

All mitigation measures, design criteria, and specifications set
forth in the geotechnical and soils reports shall be implementcd
as a condition of project approval.

.

--" ~.
Same as GEO-I for all
development except the school

-0
Q)
(Q
CD
NO>
(]1~

9

_.
Same as GEO-l for al
development except the school.
-
-
text

All building and site plans and subsequent construction shal
comply with the reports rcquirements and recommendations undcr
the review of the Office of the State Architect

----
Same as GEO-I for all
development except the school

To be addressed in the Belmont-
Redwood Shores School District
MMRP for the school site
construction.

OEO-2: In locations underlain by Bay Mud andlor non-engineered
fill, the designers of proposed building foundations and improve-
ments (including sidewalks, roads, driveways, parking areas, and
utilities) shall consider these conditions. The design-level geotech-
nical investigation shall include measures to ensurc potential
damage related to compressible materials or soils and non-unifOlmly
compacted fill are minimized. Mitigation options may range from
removal ofthc problematic soils, and replacement, as needed, with
properly conditioned and compacted fill to design and construction
of improvcments to withstand the forces exerted during the expected
settlements. All mitigation measures, design criteria, and specifi-
cations set forth in thc geotechnical and soils reports for the
town home development, and the City of Redwood City Engineering
standards shall be followed to reduce impacts associated with
problematic soil~_to a less-than-significant level.

Note: Planning Commission changes are shown as strike thru and underlined
U:\My Documcnts\Area H\MMRP\Clean Preserve MMRP with PC changes 1.28.08.doc
