Hydrolo and Wa

HYD-Ia: The project sponsor shall prepare a Stormwater Pollution
Prevention Plan (SWPPP) designed to reduce potential impacts to
surface water quality through the construction period of the project.
It is not required that the SWPPP be submitted to the RWQCB, but
must be maintained on-site and made available to R WQCB staff
upon request. The SWPPP shall include specific and detailed Best
Management Practices (BMPs) designed to mitigate construction-
related poIlutants. At a minimum, BMPs shaIl include practices to
minimize the contact of construction materials, equipment, and
maintenance supplies (e.g., fuels, lubricants, paints, solvents,
adhesives) with stormwater. The SWPPP shall specify properly-
designed centralized storage areas that keep these materials out of
the rain.

"U
Dl
CO
CD
I\.)CX>
-....I)>

11

During construction.

The City's field inspectors shal
review construction activity for
compliance with these mitigation
measures, and Engineering and
Construction DepaJ1ment shall
review the monthly reports fo
compliance.

text

To be addressed in the Bclmont-
Rcdwood Shorcs School District
MMRP for the school site
construction.

Note: Planning Commission changes are shown as strike thru and underlined
U:\My Documents\Area H\MMRP\Clean Preserve MMRP with PC changes 1.28.08.<100

BMPs designed to reduce erosion ofex.poscd soil may include, but
are not limited to; soil stabilization controls, watering for dust
control, perimeter silt fences, placement of hay bales, and sediment
basins. The potential for erosion is generally increased if grading is
performed during the rainy season because disturbed soil can be
exposed to rainfall and storm runoff. If grading must be conducted
during the rainy season, the primary BMPs selected shall focus on
erosion control (i.e., keeping sediment on the site). End-of-pipe
sediment control measures (e.g., basins and traps) shall be used
only as secondary measures. Ingress and egress from the construc-
tion site shall be carefully controlled to minimize off-site tracking
ofsedimcnt. Vehicle and equipment wash-down facilities shall be
designed to be accessible and functional during both dry and wet
con91tions. (Continued o'!:J.!ze next pagtV.__
