REV: 11-03-2021 SK <br />TASK 3: POST-CONSTRUCTION EVALUATION <br />The City staff recently ordered pre-installation motor vehicle speeds and volumes and bicycle <br />volumes, per the guidance of “Data Collection” portion of the Existing Conditions and Data <br />Collection Memorandum completed at the outset of the project in March 2020. The City staff <br />will coordinate with its count firm to collect the same data six months after installation of the <br />bicycle boulevard (spring 2022). The before and after installation data will be compared and <br />used to determine the bicycle boulevard’s effects on traffic calming and any changes in the <br />traffic patterns and volumes. <br />Once the after-installation data is collected, Consultant shall analyze the data to determine the <br />bicycle boulevard treatments’ effectiveness at encouraging bicycling, reducing motor vehicle <br />speeds, and reducing cut through motor vehicle traffic. Findings shall be summarized in a Pre- <br />and Post-Installation Traffic Analysis Memorandum.
