6.D. - Page 33 of 65 <br />Attachment C <br />(e.g. regular maintenance, regular working hour service call, after hours service call, etc.). <br />Equipment failures, passenger entrapments or unusual maintenance situations are to be noted <br />and require the insertion of a brief explanatory entry. <br />5. A service/repair tag is to be filled out by the Contractor for each billable repair that is not part <br />of the contract. A copy of this shall be given to the City's Facilities Maintenance staff, if present, <br />or it should be faxed to Facilities Maintenance by the next business day to (650) 780-7445. <br />I. Hours of Service <br />All preventative maintenance work under the agreement will be performed during regular work <br />days and hours, Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Removal of elevators from service <br />will be coordinated with and approved by City's Representative. <br />In the event major repair work becomes necessary, the Contractor will provide separate repair <br />personnel to accomplish the work to ensure that regular service personnel continue with their <br />normal preventive maintenance of the equipment. <br />J. Performance of Contractor <br />1. General: <br />Skilled and competent workers shall perform all work in a timely, neat, and orderly manner. <br />City may refuse to accept work or workers who do not meet these standards. Contractor shall <br />be responsible for any damage caused by its operations and shall repair said damage, as <br />directed by the City, within forty-eight (48) hours, unless additional time is needed, in which <br />case, the Contractor must immediately contact the City and provide an estimated timeline to <br />complete the repair. <br />2. Down Time: <br />If an elevator is inoperative for more than fifteen (15) minutes, Contractor shall post a sign at <br />each entrance indicating that the elevator is out of service. <br />3. City's Right to Inspect and Require Work: <br />The City of Redwood City reserves the right to make such inspections and tests whenever <br />necessary to ascertain that the requirements of the agreement are being fulfilled. Deficiencies <br />noted shall be promptly corrected at Contractor's expense. <br />If Contractor fails to perform the work required by the terms of the agreement in a diligent and <br />satisfactory manner, the City may, after thirty (30) days' written notice to Contractor, perform <br />or cause to be performed, all or any part of the work required hereunder.
