Take pulse on Executive Team's views of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) <br />a. Deliverable: Incorporate information gleaned from interviews in retreat <br />facilitation <br />2. Identify and synthesize key benchmarks that reflect the current state of diversity, <br />equity, and inclusion in the City of Redwood City (internally and externally) <br />a. Deliverable: Corral data and interview department heads to gather the <br />following information: <br />i. What indicators are city leaders currently using in their decision- <br />making related to DEI? What goals have already been set? Collect <br />relevant data readily available to department heads <br />ii. What problems are present? What are department heads <br />unsatisfied with and already committed to changing? <br />iii. What strengths are present? What are bright spots in the <br />data/information? <br />iv. What else would department heads and other city leaders like to <br />know about the current state of DEI? What new data would they <br />like? <br />b. Deliverable: Produce summary memo of findings <br />Current Efforts <br />Consultant's Role: Document and Summarize Progress <br />Timeframe: December 2019 and January 2020 <br />1. Document current/recent work done to address DEI problems, amplify DEI <br />strengths, and help the City of Redwood City evolve as a welcoming organization <br />(internally and externally) <br />a. Deliverable: Gather and review the following: <br />i. Organizational and policy statements <br />ii. Citywide implementation of Title 6 and Limited English Proficiency <br />Plan <br />iii. Implicit bias training <br />iv. Cultural humility training <br />b.
