Deliverable: Review policies, and practices through an lens to identify <br />anything being done that unintentionally has a disproportionately negative <br />impact on people of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, low <br />income people, homeless individuals, or other populations who may be <br />experiencing structural bias against them <br />b. Deliverable: Be available to advise and consult <br />4. Upon request of the City Manager, serve as a speaker and recommend other <br />speakers and topics for future staff Management Forums and all -hands employee <br />meetings <br />5. Be a resource to Redwood City staff and consultants as an application for the All - <br />America City Award is developed, particularly offering information on how to frame <br />the City's community engagement work <br />6. Identify and apply for other awards on our behalf, including the League of California <br />Cities Helen Putnam Award <br />7. Support City leaders as they work to engage residents as services are provided, <br />focus on inclusion as they are engaging residents, and equip residents to advocate <br />for themselves during the policy making process <br />a. Help City leaders consider how to follow up on community input received <br />through resident surveys on satisfaction with City services <br />b. Be a resource to departments as they plan community outreach (this would <br />include evaluating current best practice guidelines and recommendations <br />regarding multi -language outreach) <br />c. Make recommendations on how to better reach under -represented groups <br />8. Develop materials to be used to present about the City of Redwood City's current <br />DEI efforts and future DEI plans to diverse audiences <br />9. Support other aspects of implementation as the need arises through training, <br />meeting facilitation, advising, project coordination, and/or coaching <br />Payment terms: <br />Consultant's services will be billed on an hourly rate of $110. <br />Mileage to attend required meetings is billed at $0.545 cents per mile. <br />Consultant will provide monthly invoices reflecting services rendered prior to <br />receiving compensation for that month. <br />REV: 12-09-19 RL <br />ATN/AGR.2019.308/Jana Kiser (Page 13 of 13) <br />
