6.113. - Page 4 of 4 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PAY TO <br />THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL <br />RELATIONS FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020 ASSESSMENT FOR <br />ADMINISTERING THE STATE'S WORKERS' COMPENSATION <br />PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is self-insured for workers' <br />compensation; and <br />WHEREAS, California Labor Code Sections 62.5 and 62.6 authorize the <br />State of California Department of Industrial Relations to assess fees to employers <br />for costs of administering the State's workers' compensation program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is assessed every year by the <br />Department of Industrial Relations to support the State program; and <br />WHEREAS, for FY 2019-20, the City's share of assessments authorized by <br />Labor Code Sections 62.5 and 62.6 is $187,957.67. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
