6.A. - Page 1 of 16 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />\:3aAW <br />DATE: February 10, 2020 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Agreement for temporary staffing services in the Administrative Services Department with Robert Half <br />International, Inc., divisions OfficeTeam and Accountemps <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a one-year agreement for temporary <br />staffing services with Robert Half International, Inc., OfficeTeam and Accountemps divisions, in the <br />amount not to exceed $100,000 for administrative and clerical services in the Administrative Services <br />Department. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City regularly uses professional and contract services of temporary staffing agencies to augment City <br />staff on an as -needed basis. The Financial Services and Revenue Services divisions of the Administrative <br />Services Department are responsible for a wide range of the City's financial management, including the <br />current significant undertaking of implementing a new citywide Enterprise Resource Planning system <br />(ERP), which will replace Universe, the City's legacy financial management and human capital system. <br />Staff has recommended the use of Robert Half and Associates to hire temporary back -fill positions that <br />are necessary to assist the division staff in meeting current schedule demands for the ERP system <br />implementation, and to continue performing day-to-day operations due to unexpected staffing issues.
