FY 2019-20 Mid -year budget update and proposed process for development of the FY 2020-21 budget (905) Reso (0011) 15826 and (501) MO 20-030 City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz presented the mid -year budget update. Recommendation: 1. Accept an update on the FY 2019-20 budget and provide direction on the recommended approach for development of the FY 2020-21 budget; 2. Adopt a resolution amending the City's Classification and Salary Plan to reinstate the Assistant to the City Manager classification; 3. By motion, approve staff position reclassifications; 4. By motion, establish June 22, 2020 as the date on which the City Manager shall submit a proposed budget to the City Council; and 5. By motion, approve the dates for City Council action on the FY 2020-21 Budget as set forth in this staff report. CEQA: This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Motion and second, Borgens and Aguirre, to: 1. Accept an update on the FY 2019-20 budget and provide direction on the recommended approach for development of the FY 2020-21 budget; 2.
