03/12/2020 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Emergency Services of the City <br />of Redwood City is hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br />City any agreement or application for, and to file the agreement with, the California <br />Governor's Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining federal financial <br />assistance. <br />IT IS REQUESTED that the Governor of the State of California include the City of <br />Redwood City in any emergency declaration by the State; ensure the City of Redwood <br />City is included in any emergency declaration that may be issued by the President of the <br />United States of America; waive regulations that may hinder response and recovery <br />efforts; and make available all relevant funds to the City of Redwood City and all eligible <br />community members, organizations, service providers, and businesses, including, but not <br />limited to, aid made available by the California Disaster Act, the State Private Nonprofit <br />Organizations Assistance Program Funding, the Small Business Administration, HUD, to <br />assist the City of Redwood City and its community. <br />ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City at a special meeting of <br />the Council held on the 12th day of March, 2020, by the following vote: <br />AYES: <br />Aguirre, Bain, Borgens, Hale, Masur, Reddy and Mayor Howard <br />NOES: <br />None <br />ABSENT: <br />None <br />RECUSED: <br />None <br />Diane Howard <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />W <br />I Yessika Domingue <br />Assistant City rk <br />`) I hereby approve the foregoing <br />resolution this 131th day of March 2020. <br />• f� <br />Diane Howard <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />ATFY/RESO.0015/CC RESO PROCLAIMING A LOCAL EMERGENCY (COVID-19) RESO.
