EXHIBIT B <br />RESOLUTION NO.. <br />BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION RATIFYING AND EXTENDING PROCLAMATION OF LOCAL <br />EMERGENCY BY THE SAN MATEO COUNTY DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY <br />SERVICES <br />RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of <br />California, that <br />WHEREAS, Government Code Section 8630 and Chapter 2.46 of the San <br />Mateo County Ordinance Code authorize the Director of Emergency Services <br />("Director") of the County of San Mateo ("County") to proclaim a local emergency when <br />the County is threatened by conditions of disaster or extreme peril to the safety of <br />persons and property within the County that are or are likely to be beyond the control of <br />the services, personnel, equipment and facilities of the County and require the <br />combined forces of other political subdivisions to combat and the Board of Supervisors <br />is not in session; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 3, 2020, the Director proclaimed a local emergency <br />based on conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property within San <br />Mateo County resulting from the COVID-19 coronavirus and the Director's March 3, <br />2020 proclamation is Exhibit A to this resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, under Section 8630 of the Government Code, the local emergency <br />set forth in the Director's proclamation shall not remain in effect for more than seven <br />days unless ratified by the Board of Supervisors; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors hereby fins that there continue to exist <br />within the County conditions of disaster or extreme peril to the safety of persons and <br />
