S.H. - Page 1 of 21 <br />/<;;ik <br />Redwood <br />CityI California <br />Founded tet <br />A&/ <br />DATE: March 23, 2020 <br />SUBJECT <br />iTAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Amendment No. 2 to the agreement between the City of Redwood City and PSD Software, LLC for a Public <br />Works asset management system <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 2 to the current 5 -year <br />Software License, Implementation, and Maintenance Agreement between the City of Redwood City and <br />PSD Software, LLC to modify the scope of services and increase the not to exceed amount by $85,960, and <br />authorize the City Manager to amend the agreement to extend it for two additional five-year terms in an <br />amount not to exceed $228,580 and $264,986, respectively, for a total not to exceed amount of $768,466. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Public Works Services Department (PWS) is tasked with maintaining various classifications of City <br />assets, among other responsibilities. Historically, asset records had been tracked and maintained by using <br />individual supporting systems and technologies. PWS management staff had determined that to improve <br />operational efficiency, a unified asset management system would be needed. In April 2016, PSD Software, <br />LLC (HiperWeb) was selected and implemented for this purpose. Since that time, the City has started <br />implementing a new utility billing system which requires re -integration with HiperWeb for processing <br />meter changes.
