S.H. - Page 1 of 21 /<;;ik Redwood CityI California Founded tet A&/ DATE: March 23, 2020 SUBJECT iTAFF REPORT To the Honorable Mayor and City Council From the City Manager Amendment No. 2 to the agreement between the City of Redwood City and PSD Software, LLC for a Public Works asset management system RECOMMENDATION By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 2 to the current 5 -year Software License, Implementation, and Maintenance Agreement between the City of Redwood City and PSD Software, LLC to modify the scope of services and increase the not to exceed amount by $85,960, and authorize the City Manager to amend the agreement to extend it for two additional five-year terms in an amount not to exceed $228,580 and $264,986, respectively, for a total not to exceed amount of $768,466. STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE Excellence in Government Operations BACKGROUND The Public Works Services Department (PWS) is tasked with maintaining various classifications of City assets, among other responsibilities. Historically, asset records had been tracked and maintained by using individual supporting systems and technologies. PWS management staff had determined that to improve operational efficiency, a unified asset management system would be needed. In April 2016, PSD Software, LLC (HiperWeb) was selected and implemented for this purpose. Since that time, the City has started implementing a new utility billing system which requires re -integration with HiperWeb for processing meter changes.
