S.F. - Page 1 of 13 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />A,&/ <br />DATE: April 13, 2020 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Agreement for Consultant Services with Child Care Coordinating Council of San Mateo County <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement for consultant services <br />between the City of Redwood City acting as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and Child Care <br />Coordinating Council of San Mateo County (Build Up) in the amount of Sixty Eight Thousand Dollars <br />($68,000). <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Children and Youth <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Redwood City acts as the fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020, a community collaborative <br />comprised of eight partners, including the City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, <br />Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo (Health and Human Services Agency), Sequoia <br />Healthcare District, The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University — Stanford University, <br />Kaiser Permanente, and Canada College. <br />Redwood City 2020 hosted a Child Care Solutions convening in October of 2017. Subsequently, Redwood <br />City 2020 successfully raised and received funding to support child care coordination and catalyzation <br />activities from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) in December 2018.
