6.D. - Page 3 of 5 <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funding for this project was included in the Fiscal Year 2017-18 Capital Improvement Program budget and <br />includes funding from a One Bay Area Grant Program (OBAG-2) grant. The required local match (11.47%) <br />is coming from Roadway Maintenance & Rehabilitation Act (SB 1) funds, which were also budgeted in the <br />Fiscal Year 2017-18 CIP budget. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />As proposed, the project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental <br />Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines pursuant to Section 15301(c), Class 1 ("Existing Facilities") for the repair <br />and maintenance of existing highways and streets with negligible or no expansion of an existing use. Here, <br />the proposed improvements will occur to existing streets with no expansion of capacity. <br />As a federally -funded project, the project is also subject to review underthe National Environmental Policy <br />Act (NEPA).
