The Roadway
Management Program inventories, assesses, and tracks maintenance of the City's roadways. Roadway
segments are then prioritized for resurfacing based on the needs of the entire street network. It is more
economical to preserve pavements in good condition rather than delaying repairs because as they age,
pavements deteriorate faster and associated repair costs increase rapidly.
The purpose of the 2019 Striping Project was to install permanent pavement markings to project
roadways. Project roadways included Marine Parkway, Vera Avenue, Alameda de las Pulgas and Whipple
Avenue (Attachment A). The 2019 Striping Project removed temporary striping and installed permanent
striping roughly two weeks after microsurfacing was completed.
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
132
