Slow Streets Survev.Ddf Good Evening Mayor, Vice Mayor and City Council Members, I am pleased to present the feedback you requested on the "Slow Streets" Pilot Program. On April 27, 2020, Councilmember Bain asked for the Neighborhood Associations to weigh in on the "Slow Streets" Pilot Program. On May 6, 2020, Mayor Howard addressed the Neighborhood Association Chairs at our quarterly meeting and made a similar request. I teamed with the Chairwoman of the Edgewood Park Neighborhood Association Christina Umhofer and launched a combined Farm Hill, Canyon, and Edgewood Park Neighborhood " Slow Streets" Survey on May 8, 2020. The survey was a great success. We received a total of 84 responses in 6 days. An overall breakdown of the data is attached and extrapolated information for the Farm Hill and Canyon Neighborhoods. Amanda Wilson assisted us with data received from residents in each of the 3 neighborhoods, which allowed for the opportunity to engage our communities in a much more meaningful way. Traditionally, the Neighborhood Associations are used to push information out to the Community. This experience was a collective 3 -way conversation between the City, Neighborhood Association Chairs, and the neighbors we serve. Both the farm Hill and Canyon Neighborhoods would like to participate in the " Slow Streets program. I would thank Council member Bain, Mayor Howard, for tasking us with this project. I would also like to thank the Chairwoman of Edgewood Park, Christina Umhofer, for working with me on this project and Amanda Wilson for her support.
