6.J. - Page 1 of 18 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />Ago/ <br />DATE: June 8, 2020 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement for Services with Aila Malik DBA Venture Leadership Consulting for <br />the Interim Executive Director and Agreement for Services with Aila Malik DBA Venture Leadership <br />Consulting for the executive search for the Executive Director of Redwood City 2020 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to extend the <br />Agreement for Services with Aila Malik DBA Venture Leadership Consulting for Interim Executive Director <br />services by nine months in the amount of $108,000, including City Manager authority to extend the <br />agreement for one additional three-month term, for a total not -to -exceed contract amount of $180,000, <br />and an Agreement for Services with Aila Malik DBA Venture Leadership Consulting for executive recruiter <br />services in the amount of $33,500, for an aggregate amount of $213,500. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Healthy Community for All <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Redwood City acts as the fiscal agent and backbone organization for Redwood City 2020, a <br />community collaborative comprised of eight partners, including the City of Redwood City, Redwood City <br />Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo (Health and Human <br />Services Agency), Sequoia Healthcare District, The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior <br />University — Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and Canada College. Redwood City 2020's vision is <br />"that all people living in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks are healthy, safe and successful. We bring our <br />community residents together with local organizations and public agencies to develop and implement a <br />wide range of projects that are focused on addressing acute needs and building on strengths in our <br />community.
