Recommendation: <br /> 1). Adopt a Resolution amending the General Plan land use map of the subject <br /> property from Low and Medium Density Residential, Commercial/Office, Open <br /> Space, and Urban Reserve to Medium Density Residential, Schools, Public, <br /> and Quasi Public, and Open Space. <br /> M/S Bain/Aguirre to approve the resolution. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 14837 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AMENDING THE STRATEGIC GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> LAND USE MAP TO CHANGE THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE DESIGNATION OF <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE PRESERVE AT REDWOOD SHORES PRECISE PLAN <br /> AREA FROM LOW AND MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAUOFFICE, <br /> OPEN SPACE, AND URBAN RESERVE TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, <br /> SCHOOLS, PUBLIC AND QUASI PUBLIC, AND OPEN SPACE. <br /> Council Member Pierce said that while this is a beneficial proje�t and the outreach has <br /> been outstanding, she feels that not incorporating affordable housing is a loss. She <br /> opined that the developer should have considered this as an option for the project. For <br /> the future, she would like affordable housing to be considered. Council Member Pierce <br /> opined that a policy and clarity on Council's expectations, regarding affordable housing, <br /> could be useful for future projects. She acknowledged the large amount of public <br /> benefit in this project. Council Member Aguirre thanked the members of the school <br /> community for their involvement. <br /> Motion carries by a roll call vote with three Council Members recused (Foust, <br /> Hartnett, Ira). <br /> 2). Introduce an Ordinance amending Article 60, Zoning Map 20 (Peninsula <br /> Neighborhood) to rezone the subject property from TP (Tidal Plain) to P <br /> (Planned Community) District. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AMENDING ARTICLE 60, ZONING MAP NO. ZO OF ORIDNANCE 1130, THE REDWOOD <br /> CITY ZONING ORDIANNCE, AS AMENDED, TO REZONE THE PROPERTY LOCATED <br /> WITHIN THE PRESERVE AT REDWOOD SHORES (AREA H) PRECISE PLAN AREA <br /> FROM TP (TIDAL PLAIN) ZONING DISTRICT TO THE P(PLANNED COMMUNITY) <br /> ZONING DISTRICT.
