Annual assessments are levied against commercial properties along Seaport
Boulevard and in Seaport Centre for maintenance of facilities that were determined to require a level of
service greater than regularly required.
On June 8, 2015, the Council accepted the City Manager's and Engineer's Reports (Reports) that describes
the maintenance work, costs and the formula by which annual assessments will be calculated against
each assessed parcel for an aggregate amount not to exceed $212,500 for the District. On August 24,
2015, property owners of the District approved, by a vote of 100% yes, the levy of a maximum annual
benefit assessment of $212,500. On the same date, the Council adopted a resolution approving the
proposed annual assessments and authorizing the County to levy and collect the assessments. The
assessment was to be levied annually, without additional mail ballot proceedings, so long as maintenance
expenses are incurred. The rate of the assessment may not be increased above the rate shown on the
Page 1 of 3
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
