07/27/2020 <br />4. Meetings. The Committee shall meet upon the call of the Community <br />Development Director of the City of Redwood City. All meetings shall be open to the public and <br />governed by the provisions of the Ralph M. Brown Act, Government Code Section 54950, and <br />following, and shall be held a time and place set by the Community Development Director. <br />Three members present shall constitute a quorum of the Committee for the transaction of <br />business. <br />5. Officers. The Committee shall elect a chairperson who shall preside at all <br />meetings. The Committee may elect such other officers as it deems appropriate for the conduct <br />of its business. <br />6. Staff Support. The Community Development Director or designee shall serve as <br />staff advisor to the Committee, and shall provide such staff support and assistance as is <br />necessary or appropriate for the Committee to carry out its activities. <br />7. Duties. The Committee shall advise the Zoning Administrator, Planning <br />Commission, and City Council on certain architectural matters concerning building architecture <br />and urban design, on projects as designated by the Community Development Director, which <br />generally shall be large or sensitive projects where architectural elements are significant and <br />additional community input is desired. <br />8. The authority of the Committee shall be limited to making recommendations in <br />accordance with the foregoing and the Committee shall not be vested with authority to grant or <br />deny any entitlement or approval. <br />9.
