EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />SCOPE OF WORK: <br />Ensemble Care and Maintenance Services (ECMS) shall perform all cleaning, and <br />advanced inspections testing, repairs and alterations of firefighter Personal Protective <br />Equipment (PPE). The items that fall under the scope of this contract shall include all <br />PPE equipment (boots, helmets, gloves etc.) issued to and worn by Redwood City <br />firefighters for the purposes of structural firefighting operations (excluding Self <br />Contained Breathing Apparatuses). Services shall be performed in accordance with <br />most current edition of NFPA 1851 and other relevant NFPA standards, OSHA <br />regulations, and in accordance with the care and maintenance guidelines of the PPE <br />manufactures. <br />A. Performance Requirements <br />1) Comply with the care and maintenance guidelines provided by the manufacturer of <br />each PPE element <br />2) Comply with the requirements of NFPA 1851, Standard on Selection, Care, and <br />Maintenance of Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire <br />Fighting <br />3) Utilize materials, processes and/or procedures that are compliant with the applicable <br />NFPA 1971 Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity <br />Fire Fighting <br />4) Have completed or engaged in verification testing as required by NFPA 1851 <br />5) Comply with all recommendations identified in NFPA 1851 <br />6) Maintain valid commercial liability insurance acceptable to the City <br />7) Be qualified to perform (structural jacket and trouser elements): <br />a) Advanced Inspections <br />b) Advanced Cleaning <br />c) Specialized Cleaning (hazardous material cleaning and decontamination <br />excluding asbestos, heavy metals, lithium, etc.) <br />d) Liner Inspections <br />e) Repairs <br />8) Be recognized by the manufacturer to perform the following services for fire helmet <br />elements: <br />REV: 05-26-2020 RL <br />ATTY/AGR.2020.085/Ensemble Care and Maintenance Services (Page 11 of 31) <br />
