6.A. - Page 3 of 4 <br />Fund. The required local match towards this additional work will range between $13,000 (if only contract <br />amount used) and $158,000 (if the additional 10% above the contract amount is needed). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />As a federally -funded project, Caltrans determined that the Project is a Categorical Exclusion under 23 <br />CFR § 771.117(c)26. <br />As proposed, the project is Categorically Exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental <br />Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines pursuant to: <br />Section 15301 Class 1 "Existing Facilities" (c) for the repair and maintenance of "Existing <br />highways and streets, sidewalks, gutters, bicycle and pedestrian trails, and similar <br />facilities (this includes road grading for the purpose of public safety)" with no expansion <br />of an existing use. <br />There will be no significant cumulative impact or significant effect on the environment when considering <br />the totality of the project as the proposed improvements are occurring to existing streets with no <br />expansion of capacity. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council may choose to not authorize the additional funding for the Redwood City Pavement <br />Preservation Project (Twin Dolphin Overlay), direct staff to complete construction within the allocated <br />funding, and complete the ADA curb ramp upgrades as a separate project. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />None. <br />REPORT PREPARED BY: <br />Jessica Manzi, Transportation Manager <br />jmanzi@redwoodcity.org <br />(650)780-7372 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore <br />
