As part of the GI Plan, the City identified the Regional
Stormwater Capture Project and Red Morton Park (Regional Project). This project is a major component
of the Plan and would capture and treat a large amount of stormwater from the hillside areas of the City,
including portions of Woodside and Unincorporated San Mateo County.
In October 2019 C/CAG issued a call for letters of interest for Regional Stormwater Capture Projects to
use a $3 million State budget allocation for advancing planning and design of multi -functional stormwater
facilities. The City submitted for the Regional Project, as did the Cities of Belmont and San Bruno. Each
city received $913,333. Although C/CAG was the agency securing the funds, each of the cities agreed to
work directly with the Natural Resources Agency to obtain and use the funds. The proposed resolution
and an eventual agreement allows the City to obtain the funds from the Natural Resources Agency for the
Regional Project.
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
94
