For example, as a residential property with multiple
units, the property is required to have one domestic water service connected to the water main on Vera
Avenue and one sanitary sewer lateral connected to the main on Vera Avenue. Each individual unit will
have private water sub -meters and private sanitary sewer laterals. To achieve the residential property
configuration, a new master meter/master backflow will need to be installed for the water system and a
new cleanout will need to be installed for the sanitary sewer system. Additionally, the existing easement
onsite dedicated to the City in 1946 for maintenance of the 2" water line and 6" sewer line onsite will
Page 1 of 3
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
229
