A typical way to obtain the knowledge and <br />abilities would be: <br />Experience: <br />Five years of increasingly responsible experience in Community <br />Development, including three years of planning program management or <br />supervision. Senior management level as a professional Planner or similar <br />position within the City or another organization. One or more years of <br />Planning Commission liaison experience or zoning administration is highly <br />desirable. <br />Training: <br />Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university <br />with major coursework in architecture, planning, engineering, public <br />administration, business administration, real estate, public policy or a related <br />field.
