<br />6.1A <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />General Responsibilities: <br />Sensus Metering Systems will: <br /> <br />1. Provide a Project Manager to coordinate all FlexNet installation activities with the <br />customer. The Project Manager will be the primary point of contact between the <br />customer and Sensus during deployment. The Project Manager will also coordinate <br />all installation activities with the Sensus field engineers and any TGB installation <br />crews hired by Sensus. <br />2. Conduct a propagation study to determine the locations best suited for TGB <br />installation based on the goals of the project. <br />3. Hire a qualified installation contractor to install the TGB equipment and install all <br />appropriate cabling between the TGB antenna and the TGB cabinet. <br />4. Commission the RNI hardware and software, and provide training to operate the <br />FlexWare software. <br />5. Ensure the TGB and RNI installed properly and are operating within proper <br />parameters. <br />6. Advise customer IT personnel on proper care and maintenance of the FlexNet <br />hardware (TGB and RNI hardware). <br /> <br />The Customer will: <br /> <br />1. The Customer will provide a key point of contact to help coordinate customer <br />activities with the Sensus Project Manager during the system installation process. <br />2. The Customer will be responsible to provide the network infrastructure in the Power <br />and RNI Location areas in Diagram 1, including network cabling and power identified <br />in blue in Diagram 1. <br />3. The Customer will be responsible for monthly fees associated with the network <br />access for all sites where network access is needed. <br />4. The Customer will be responsible to provide a high-speed Network communications <br />(TCP/IP) link between the Regional Network Interface (RNI) and TGB. <br />5. The Customer will purchase any routers, hubs, mounting equipment, uninterruptible <br />power supply and/or security equipment needed to connect the RNI to the <br />customer's internal network. <br /> <br />3 <br />
