<br />6.1A <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />TGB Site Responsibilities: <br /> <br />Sensus Metering Systems will: <br /> <br />1. Hire a qualified installation team to install the TGB equipment at the designated site(s). <br />2. Perform all data, power and terminal connections at the TGB cabinet. This includes the <br />AC power source (supplied by the customer), coaxial cable from the TGB antenna, and <br />CA T5 data cable (to be supplied by the customer) for data backhaul to the RNI servers. <br />3. Provide the appropriate antenna to be used at each TGB site. <br />4. Provide all bracketing needed to mount the TGB antenna at the TGB site. <br />5. Provide coaxial cable required to connect the TGB cabinet to the TGB antenna. <br />6. Provide all hardware required to install coaxial cable between TGB cabinet to the TGB <br />antenna. <br />7. Install the TGB cabinet (if needed) at or in the structure provided and identified by the <br />customer. <br />8. Sensus will not be held responsible for damage to any interior or exterior coatings on <br />water tanks that results from welding of antenna mounts to those tanks. Parties will <br />mutually agree to the scope of work prior to the installation. <br /> <br />The Customer will: <br /> <br />1. Provide sufficient foundation to secure the TGB cabinet. Should an outdoor cabinet be <br />at the TGB site, this foundation will consist of a concrete pad or steel structure that is <br />designed to hold 600 Ibs per square inch. <br />2. Provide a proper ground field at each TGB site. At a minimum, the material should <br />consist of # 4 or #2 stranded copper wire which will connect to the TGB. <br />3. Provide a clean and reliable 120 VAC power source for the TGB cabinet in the desired <br />location. Outdoor (NEMA-4) TGB cabinets require a 240 VAC power source due to <br />climate control equipment included. <br />4. 120 VAC (or 240 VAC for outdoor TGB cabinets) non-GFI receptacles to be located <br />within 1 foot of the final location of the TGB cabinet. <br />5. Provide the necessary trenching, conduit, and cabling needed to install AC receptacles <br />within 1 foot of the final location of the TGB cabinet. All electrical equipment must be <br />installed in accordance with local codes, and is the responsibility of the customer. <br />6. Provide TCPJlP network backhaul connection at all TGB sites. Customer should consult <br />with Sensus Project Manager to determine the best available options for TCP/IP data <br />backhaul. <br />7. Provide CATS UV and weather resistant network cable between the TGB cabinet and <br />TCP/IP data backhaul connection. <br />8. Be responsible to provide any conduit or trenching needed to run the TCP/IP data <br />backhaul cable to the TGB cabinet. <br />9. Provide padlocks for the TGB cabinet if required for security purposes. <br />10. Secure access/permission to any structure that is not owned by the customer. <br /> <br />5 <br />
