<br />The Mid Point shuttle carried 2,539 quarterly (Figure 1) or 40 average daily riders in its
<br />third quarter of operation. The route transported 6.8 riders per service hour, while
<br />eliminating 1,707 SOV trips. The Cost per Passenger (CPP) averaged $8.97. The
<br />Riders per service hour and CPP exceed the C/CAG performance benchmark goals, but
<br />this service has only been in operation for nine-months.
<br />
<br />Over the first nine-months, the Mid Point Shuttle route transported 5,245 total or 27
<br />average daily riders. This route eliminated 2,698 single occupancy vehicle (SOV) trips.
<br />
<br />The Alliance expects ridership to explode on this route in future years as Stanford
<br />University & Medical Center finishes its new medical facility build out. Also, Summit
<br />Preparatory Charter High School has expressed interest in utilizing the shuttle on behalf
<br />of its students. They recently joined on behalf of their teachers and administrative staff.
