0 R I G I I A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14155 <br />RESOLUTION WAIVING PUBLIC BIDDING SOLICITATION AND <br />ADVERTISEMENT; ACCEPTING BID FOR THE LAGOON <br />DISCHARGE FACILITY III OUTFALL REPAIR PROJECT; AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK <br />2/26/01 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 68 of the Charter of the City of Redwood <br />City, the City Council may waive the bidding requirements and enter into a <br />contract for the repair of the Lagoon Discharge Facility III Outfall without public <br />soliciting or advertising for bids or receiving same; and <br />WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were solicited for <br />the Lagoon Discharge Facility III Outfall Repair Project in the City of Redwood <br />City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation four bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, McGuire & Hester of Oakland, California, was the lowest <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the <br />bid of McGuire & Hester; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council determines and declares that the public interest or <br />necessity demands the immediate expenditure of public money to safeguard life, <br />health and property. <br />2.
