4.A. - Page P�Fc <br />PENINSULA CONFLICT RESOLUTION CENTER <br />• Families, diversity, celebrations in the streets, feeling safe, kids matter a lot <br />• Walking around, gardens, seems like a good community, this type of dialogues. <br />• More diversity than other neighborhoods, Cool community feel, entertainment options, <br />cosmopolitan enough to restaurants/ business owners <br />• Lives in Redwood Shores. Been here since 2005. Works in both downtown Redwood <br />City. Interested in this because of Black Lives Matter and being upset about what's <br />happening in the country. Wants to do something about it as opposed to sitting at home. <br />Wants to know what we can do be better now? <br />• Lived in Redwood since 1986. Things it's a very nice community. Loves the weather. It's <br />a good community, a lot of exciting development, i.e. downtown. <br />• Has lived in Redwood City over 6 years. Has seen the city grown and remembers the <br />movie theater. Likes the location of the City. <br />• I am a teacher here in Redwood City. Loves the community. Can go to Target and see <br />family and students that he knows. <br />• Loves being able to live and work in the same city. Likes that the city is so community <br />oriented. It feels like a neighborhood, not a big city. <br />• Likes that there are a lot of places to go like restaurants. <br />• Favorite thing about the city is there is so much to do, the beach, the mountains. <br />• I am happy to be back in Redwood City. I was born here. <br />• Great places to eat downtown. <br />• There are many stores to explore. Favorite store is Barnes & Noble. <br />• Likes the people and the community. <br />• Events City does like concerts in the park <br />• Diversity of the City <br />• Sense of closeness and community fun <br />• Green spaces and parks <br />• Downtown street teams <br />• Community center art classes <br />• Spanish immersion school <br />• Murals and signs of hope/kindness <br />• Clean City, City Council, nice people, multicultural, City works hard re: activities, <br />events, feels safe, best weather, near Oakland and San Jose, most of my family lives here, <br />welcoming community, people helping other people always, East Side of RWC ties to <br />culture, the youth, esp. Garfield school, more than one person is there to help when you <br />need it, pretty united community, musical events, diversity. <br />• Everyone is very friendly. <br />• Tight and networked sense of family. <br />• Openness of the community <br />• size, diversity and passion of the community. City more open to diversity than <br />surrounding communities. <br />75 <br />
