The proposed project will be evaluated against each of the 16 environmental <br />parameters and the mandatory findings of significance identified on the Checklist. The form and <br />scope of the IS will reflect the City of Redwood City's accepted practices (which will be relayed to <br />MHA I RMT in the project initiation meeting). <br /> <br />MHA I RMT's approach to preparation of the IS will be to base the analyses, to the extent possible, . <br />on existing envirorunentaland project data. Potential existing data sources include; <br /> <br />. Reports and studies prepared by or onbehalf of the applicant for the proposed project <br /> <br />. Other Initial Studies and EIRsprepared for recent development projects in the vicinity of <br />the project site <br /> <br />Following completion of the IS, MHA I RMT will prepare an EIR that will address those <br />environmental parameters identified in the IS that present the potential for significant impacts. <br />MHAfRMl' will consmt with City staff toconfum the parameters to addressjn the ElR. <br /> <br />The following elements will be utilized to guide preparation of the IS and EIR. <br /> <br />Element 1 : Project Initiation, Definition, tnitialStudy ,and Scoping <br /> <br />Element 1 is designed to initiate MHA I RMT's effort t<>.~repare the project's EIR. <br /> <br />Element '1.'1. ReviewPertinentPtoject Data and Site Reconnaissance: MHAIRMT <br />will conduct a review of all pertinent data related to the proposed project and its <br />implementation.
