As a 20 year Redwood <br />City resident it is distressing to see the neighborhood and community impact of <br />2nd story ADUs over detached garages and so close to property lines. <br />Our property shares property lines with 6 other homes — all have garages near <br />shared property lines and 5 of the 6 were to do a large 2nd story ADU it would <br />affect multiple others' light, privacy, and more. <br />I urge you to correct the prior 2nd story ordinance and focus on the Staff's <br />recommendation. <br />This is a special community and the 2nd story ADUs are having a negative impact <br />on the community and not solving the affordable housing issues. <br />Thank you for your service. <br />Kathy McRae <br />
