No. 18 and P.S. No. 20 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, accept the Sanitary Sewer Pump Station Improvements Project - P.S. No. 18 and P.S. No. 20, <br />and authorize the release of bonds and retention according to City procedures. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Public Safety <br />BACKGROUND <br />On November 19, 2018, the City Council awarded the construction contract for the Sanitary Sewer Pump <br />Station Improvements Project - P.S. No. 18 and P.S. No. 20 to Casey Construction, Inc. of Emerald Hills, CA <br />for a price of $1,682,653.00. The project scope included rehabilitation of the two existing sanitary sewer <br />pump stations. <br />Specific project components included: <br />• Removal and replacement of existing mechanical and electrical structures; <br />• Rehabilitation and repair of an existing wet well; <br />• Furnishing and installation of a temporary bypass system, <br />• Replacement of submersible pumps, motor control center (MCC); <br />• Installation of a complete standby generators; <br />• Connection of pump stations to existing force mains. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcitV.org <br />67 <br />
