6.H. - Page 1 of 11 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />A,&/ <br />DATE: October 26, 2020 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Waive second reading and adopt commercial permit parking ordinance <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Waive second reading and adopt Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Redwood City Adopting to <br />City Code Chapter 20, Article VII, Division 16 Relating to Commercial Permit Parking. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Economic Vitality <br />BACKGROUND <br />Over the last few months, staff presented to the City Council information on the impacts to businesses <br />from recreational vehicle (RV) parking as well as the difficulties that staff face trying to manage them. <br />Recently, the City Council approved a two-year Temporary RV Safe Parking Program to help recreational <br />vehicle dwellers transition into a designated parking area with the ultimate goal of transitioning to <br />permanent housing.
