From: Gabriel Marusic
To: GRP -City Council
Cc: redwoodcityfirefiahters(o gmail.com
Subject: RWC FD Cuts?
Date: Saturday, October 24, 2020 10:01:11 PM
I've lived in RWC over 30 years now and am appalled to learn of cuts being proposed to
RWCFD right now. This is absurd as we enter a time of uncertainty around global warming
and as we've seen fires in neighboring communities increase with devastating effect. What is
this last minute proposal to decrease funding to our fire department supposed to be? Who from
our community actually supports this? I can assure you no one. As a long time resident here I
DO NOT SUPPORT THESE CUTS and i can tell you I'm not alone in this. I will gladly stand
up and fight for our FD and the protection they provide our community. I am eager to speak
out at the council meeting on the 26th and light up whoever is proposing these cuts. I look
forward to trading barbs with whoever is in charge of this BS and making it my mission to
vote them and whoever supports this out at the next election. DO NOT F WITH OUR FIRE
DEPARTMENT, ESPECIALLY NOW.
I'll see you Monday at the Zoom meeting, I won't be quiet.
Gabriel Marusic
