From: Liane Redford
To: GRP -City Council
Subject: Reducing Redwood Shores Fire/First Responder Services
Date: Sunday, October 25, 2020 8:45:10 PM
City Council Members
I don't support a reduction in the Redwood Shores Fire/First Responder services. We need them.
We are separated from the main part of Redwood City. Redwood Shores seems to be treated as a
bit of a step -child, but we pay the same taxes. Obviously the budget needs to be managed. But, the
cuts can't create hazardous situation wherein Redwood Shores citizens are less protected/important
than other Redwood City citizens. We have a high population of seniors. While Redwood City does
not give our area the same enhancement services seniors enjoy across the freeway, you can't take
away our safety.
Liane Redford
