From: Korey McCormack
To: GRP -City Council
Subject: Please do not close Engine 9!
Date: Saturday, October 24, 2020 5:45:48 PM
Honorable Council Members,
I am writing to you to please, do not allow the closure of RWCFD Engine 9. 1 am a proud Redwood City resident of
20 years and pre-COVID-19, I commuted to San Francisco on CalTrain. I have witnessed Engine 9 on multiple
occasions responding to homeless people unconscious at Sequoia Station as well as fatalities on the tracks. They are
compassionate, and the best first responders any City could hope for. Our City needs this station and all the
wonderful firefighters and paramedics that work there.
I cannot fathom why you would even be considering this closure of our busiest station in our City! Especially with
all of the new business and residential development downtown!
Please, please, do not close Engine 9 down!
Respectfully,
Korey McCormack
A proud resident who votes
Sent from my Whone
