We have been in two Fourth of July parades as being honored for this <br />distinction. <br />I strongly urge all of you to vote no regarding taking 2 million dollars from the Fire Dept budget which in <br />turn would close station #9. Look at the statistics regarding how busy the station was in 2019! If station 9 <br />closes, the closest station would be at Jefferson and Myrtle Avenue for any call that is east of EI Camino! <br />Response time during commute time would greatly be extended which would cause a delay in a patient <br />getting medical care. Outside assistance will be twice as long then the current response time from station <br />9! <br />Its amazing that Redwood City council members suddenly found 3 million dollars for funding for the <br />programs of equity and diversity. If this program is implemented instead of having a fire station kept open <br />then your priorities are not in the right place.
