Redwood City has not suffered quality <br />of life impacts and only benefits from increased revenue. <br />Tonight's proposal to allow for six retail cannabis licenses based on a merit -based application process is <br />another example of good staff work, community engagement and oversight body input to create a "right - <br />sized" policy for Redwood City. <br />I am confident in our collective ability to ensure any concerns about retail cannabis can be swiftly dealt <br />with during an implementation phase between tonight's approval and an application phase in Q1 2021. <br />The Chamber stands ready to assist the City in any ways necessary to provide information, gather <br />industry representatives and experts, or convene stakeholders. <br />Thank you in advance for your leadership and let's keep Redwood City's economy moving toward <br />recovery by approving this logical expansion of an important Redwood City industry. <br />All my best, <br />Amy <br />Amy Buckmaster <br />President and CEO <br />Chamber <br />Redwood City -San Mateo County <br />Office: 650-364-1722 I Fax: 650-364-1729 <br />Learn more about our Chamber at: <br />
